Properties :
This product is white powder or flake crystal. Melting point 128.7-129 ºC , boiling point
254 ºC (2.0kpa). 740mj / mol. It has low solubility in water and good thermal stability. This
product has very low toxicity and irritation to mucous membrane and skin. LD50 of mice was
7 g / kg. Operators should wear protective equipment.

 

Application:
The product can be condensed with hexamethylene diamine to produce engineering plastic
nylon 6-12; the diester formed with octanol, butanol and other alcohols can be used as
plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride,  the diester synthesized
with octanol can also be used as base oil for high-grade lubricating oil for jet engine and gas
turbine or low-temperature grease; dodecanoic acid can also be used as base oil for
saturated polyester Modifier, precipitant of metal, raw material of perfume and special
polyurethane. It is also used as solute in electrolyte of high voltage aluminum electrolytic
capacitor.
