Triethylamine is a kind of colorless to pale yellow liquid with a strong pungent smell of amine, whose boiling point is 89.5 °C. It is soluble in ehanol and ethyl ether, but slightly soluble in water. Its water solution is alkaline. Its vapor can be made into explosive material once contact with fresh air and give out a strong smelly poisonous smog. Mainly used as a solvent, curing agent, catalyst polymerization retarder, Yin poly agent.
