1. Used to produce new histone deacetylase inhibitors for the treatment of Freidreich's ataxia. It also helps to prepare conjugated polymers with anthracene skeletons. Pyrazole is synthesized by 1,3-bipolar cycloaddition of acetylene diazide compounds, which is also a substrate for nickel-catalyzed coupling reaction with benzonitrile.
