Application
Trifluoromethanesulfonic acid can be used as a selective catalyst for alkylation and acylation reactions by Friedel-Crafts mechanism in chemical industry and in laboratory synthesis.
Trifluoromethanesulfonic acid also can be used as a catalyst for numerous cyclization, polymerization and other reactions in synthetic organic chemistry.
