Applications
MIT is used as a broad spectrum preservative to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi. MIT
has been approved by EPA FDA for industrial and cosmetic applications. MIT is a superior
preservative in variety of industries that include cosmetics, latex, wood treatment, paint and
coating, and personal care applications. MIT can be added in at any stages of the production.
Typical use concentrations are in the range of 0.05-0.5% (w/w) in the final products.
